The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain is a novella, or short story, written by Charles Dickens and first published in the Christmas of 1848. It is the fifth and last of Dickens’s Christmas novellas.


The Haunted Man and the Ghost’s Bargain was published in three parts:

  1. The Gift Bestowed.
  2. The Gift Diffused.
  3. The Gift Reversed.
